All the Words Used

I'm sorry but today's posts use some *explicit language*.

I am in a bad mood and they help soothe the pointless rage. You'll be pleased to note, however, that no taboos are broken, nor should they be. I've even sweared over at Colin Campbell's. No explanation, just wanted to. Like any little boy.

I think you should take up yoga.

Calm down dear boy.

In your present mood, you might appreciate this postcard, over at  A Beautiful Revolution.  You'll be pleased to note that no taboos were broken in the making of this card, either.

I was indeed glad to see that! I feel calmer this morning, and now that I know Jade is out and Chelsea lost, all is well with the world.

Shit, piss wank, fuck cunt, bollocks, knock it on the head, do what John?

(As Alexei Sayle used to say as his Mr. Swearie Character.

Cak! is one of my top five comedy albums).

As a linguist, I know that a swear word is just an arbitrary signal, so don't worry about it, tin drummer! In English, it is also to do with the strong consonants in the word - they literally let off steam!

You can host the swear bloggers round up, since Mr E has given it a sabbatical. First up Tin Drummer,... and now Tin Drummer and.... finally Tin Drummer in comments on.

The problem I always find with swearing in writing, is that it is actually remarkably harder than you would suspect. I never sounds quite "right" when I do it!

I tend to go through phases of swearing, depending on how inarticulately angry I am. It is very difficult to do properly and Mr DK is by far the best exponent (and he goes a lot further into taboo-territory than I do).

Incidentally I am still here, my lack of posts being easily explained by a lack of ideas. Sorry chaps and thanks for dropping in, I'm sure I'll think of something soon.
