What's Christmas good for then?

Only one thing excites me about Christmas-the-secular-festival and it is this.

dum-de-dum-dum-de-dum-dum-de-dum-woooo--eeeeeeeee-ooooww

Can you guess what it is?

A whole 70 minutes of 'Doctor Who' on Christmas day! We truly are living in a golden age. :-)

Have you seen the trailer for Torchwood series 2 on Youtube yet?

That'll be the Dr. Who theme tune with the added drums (and I claim my £5).

Hmm I was well off with a re-run of Little and Large's 1979 Christmas Spectacular....

Nice one, Matt and Grendel (£5 available if you call -094 1981063 - calls charged at £42 per minute and last at least 94 minutes).

Jams - nice try. I wouldn't mind a bit of Little and Large, but we're 20 years too late, sadly.

It looks okay.

Rumours are that they've improved the characterisation - making them more likeable. Hard to tell from the 2 minute trailer (its on Youtube).

PS - I've just watched 'Father's Day' again (Cornell's first Doctor Who), and I've only just realised that both it and 'Human Nature / The Family of Blood' are retelling's of the gospel story but with the emphasis on it being an ordinary man (Rose's dad and John Smith) who give their lives to save mankind. Was I just dense in not noticing that before?
