Why Would I Post In Defence Of Freedom When Everyone Thinks It Is Shite?

I don't know.

Just this feeling I have, that alcohol is better than Caroline Flint: that thoughts of different worlds, where you don't have to prove who you are, are better than Harriet Harman; that you exist, regardless of what Yvette Cooper thinks: that actually, despite the spew talked by Ed Balls, it is quite good to know things about the world, I mean real things, like where people live and what they are called and what they speak and what they make: and that learning about multiculturalism is like, learning about fuck all.

If children learn things,

if they know stuff about the world, I mean real stuff like where people are and what they speak, and what they make, then the "learn about socialism" Left are without a cause, without a home, without a voice.

Suck the voice from the Left.

Learn the World's Capitals today.

We Could Have Been The Best of Friends

Fuck it: this is why I refuse to join any political party: no-one reflects my views, or gives a fuck about them. I am not really a libertarian and those fuckers really, really hate a large part of me (not my knob, all parties love my knob); they loathe the idea that I choose to see the world differently. Well fine, fuck them. Fuck Labour, who are the world's biggest authoritarian cunts; fuck the Tories, who are close behind, fuck the LibDems, who are fuckers, fuck UKIP who just are not with the programme, whatever the fuck that means, and fuck the Libertarians, who, at the sunset of the long summer's light show, are people who hate my guts.

I had thought of joining them. But I'm not, and I can't.

Fuck it.

I am me, and I am a minority of one.

I am mad.

So what?

Who cares.

Really. Who cares.

Sanity on Leave

You might be thinking: well where is TD? The world is collapsing into fiscal chaos, into political impotence, and into the virulence of ideology, and one of our most vile spewers of undiluted verbal toxicity is strangely silent.

Well, the answer is that I have been forced to work for a living. I mean obviously I've been working for a while but the pace has recently been increased somewhat, and I've been trying to write proper stuff (ho ho) so it's not that my time for blogging has been cut, but my energy for it.

Besides of which the world's own actions recently have revealed that the blogosphere is in fact a haven of sense and reason, and it is the world itself that is the unrestricted, unregulated purveyor of nastiness. Everywhere you look someone is hysterically braying about people who don't agree with them, invoking illness, suffering and death; someone is calling for more death for anyone they feel does not deserve to live; someone is urging the closure of freedoms; someone is denying the existence of freedoms; someone is screwing something up and blaming everyone else. Implicating everyone, crying foul, lying about their own records, screaming cliches and rehashed sententiae to a world which seems too dazzled to care, or too busy to care, or too cynical to care.

I'm almost too afraid to read the newspapers or listen to the radio: not because world events themselves frighten me, but because the people in the media and politics now seem afraid -of what, I don't know: Sarah Palin, maybe, or the fact that so many people just do not care what they think anymore: their privileged positions as dolers out of knowledge, refracted through an educated, elitist standpoint, are under threat, not from argument, or attack, but from apathy. And from the rise of the blogger. Bloggers are still a narrow, self-selected bunch, especially the UK political blogging scene, but they are a blot on the landscape of the opinion professional.

They must be well pissed off that we survived the first attempt to regulate and control us: they'll be back for the next round though.

And - the worst thing, Peter Mandelson is back. I was laughing until I heard the BBC's serious analysis, with Labour people naturally, of the move: fuck me they mean it, they really mean it.

Oh well, as I said, I've been busy. Not really followed the news.

Let's Not Be Adult (About It)

Really: why bother. Let us be childish and stupid, be immature and freakish, be twats and wankers. The cause of authoritarianism has the scientists and the rationalists own the death-cults. Why not just be bloody silly, prance about in fields like idiots, read Graham Hancock, think of fairy-circles and machine-elves; open the Bible at a random page; why not look to the heavens and see things you cannot justify or repeat, why not see beauty and be staggered; why not just delight, consciously, in life, and its compromises, its failures, the very fact that you think things are wrong; the very fact that you know you are not perfect, even fallen. In the fact that evil derives its power from the existence of good.

Couple of twats (good & evil that is).

Why not take an innocent joy, that does not involve killing other humans, in the fact of existence, this most bizarre of coincidences, this pathetic excuse for rationality? Why not just be, when all around us are desperate to cast their shadows over our lives, and make their laws to govern our lives and deaths? The rationalists are gathering for laws, pouring over sub-clauses, desperate to enact sunsets: they want to control.

Why not just be? Well, because it hurts. Probably.

Let them come up with some justification as to why we should be allowed to live. You know how they love their justifications. They might be logical. Or they might just be pragmatic.

Because, sooner or later, they will do it...then they will see the reverse...and their austere logical or ideological purity will not allow anything else.

And it will be the end.

And it will have been prepared for.*

Yet there'll be this appeal, that we kept through our lives.**

*Well what the hell did you expect??? I am ENGLISH. Sentimentality is woven into my soul. It is the handmaiden of alcohol.

**See above.

You know, I am convinced those two, bloody sentimentality and alcohol, are having an affair...couple of tarts. Dressed up to the nines, flirting like they're anyone's. Cheap tu'penny ha'penny whores.

What Is The Point?

I am occasionally asked, by strange souls who accost me in the street with their ancient slacks held up by tomato-plant string, why I don't blog more often. The answer is this: there is no point. No-one cares. The Left is in complete control of our world, whatever the opinion polls say: the (academic, New) Left controls academia, education, public service and the nation's public broadcaster. Its assumptions are made the conclusions of "reports" by academics who make you wonder if they could ever have produced reports of a different nature: the stewards of "evidence", as we saw during the Fertilisation & Destruction Bill debate, are very keen to turn the debate away from evidence when it suits them, and onto ideology (I believe one MP said to IDS during that debate "Are you saying I am less than human" or something vaguely similar). When Labour are caught, with their pants round someone else's ankles, and their little knobs fluttering sadly in the breeze, they can always rely on the BBC to ask them, "So whose fault is it that your pants are currently waddling down the street on a fat man's hairy legs?" They release Tractor Production in the UK(raine) stats one day and the BBC leads with them the next, complete with phone ins about how ignorant the people are.

I was a fairly compulsive listener to Radios 4 and 5 between 1993 and 1997 and I do not recall any radio shows presented from the Tory govts' POV. I do not recall them asking why we did not accept Government statistics. I do not recall them writing that we were being fooled by an x(wing) media (though I loved playing X-Wing at the time).

We are being fooled, taken for a gigantic ride by a government which, unlike the last massively incompetent one, has the support of all the nation's best and brightest. They support control of individuals, are innately suspicious of what they call "liberty", demand that we present ourselves to government for inspection regularly, have no problem with our being routinely surveilled, like it that we should be suspects for crimes that no police force would ever properly regard us as suspects for (via the DNA database). My right to be considered a law abiding citizen is just that - a right. You do not have a right, whatever crime you have suffered, to consider me as automatically a suspect. If there is a reason, then fair enough. Presumably, you can justify it. If not - leave me out of your enquiry.

Is that good enough for you lefties, you "oh, some people think you have a right to be left alone by the state" merchants, you loathers of real individual rights?

I guess not. You will never be happy. You see rights as given and taken by government, on the basis of need, expediency and group identity.

Never mind.

They will win - already have, they always win. Their policy is based on suspicion and hate and yet they are winning.

Then there are their other ideological allies, regardless of nominal "party", stopping people in cars to see if they are smoking, demanding adherence to draconian rubbish collection rules (while abolishing their duty of collection), enforcing weird crimethink laws, prosecuting people for protests against councils' neglect of duty, using bizarre laws to watch people for weeks on end to see if they are trying to get their child into a good school, whinging and nagging at people in publicly funded documents, thinking that getting a bit tipsy is worrisome while not thinking that 200 000 abortions a year is owt to give a toss about, hectoring and intruding on people - as long as it is not their sexuality of course. No. No-one should be made accountable for sexual choices - only food, drink, work, thought, speech and exercise choices. And association. And religion.

And then there are the legions of fascists, deniers, reactionaries, Daily Mail readers, fundamentalists, "well funded lobbies" - all different terms of abuse based on dissent. What the hell is the point of dissent when abuse is what you get. Soon, of course, for various kinds of dissent, it will be fines and/or prison, like it is is Canada (and many very very intelligent people there really do think you should be fined for saying something someone else does not like, made to pay for your defence while the prosecution is paid for by the state, and who are able to make extra-judicial punishments like "x may not speak on this subject ever again" (see: http://www.ezralevant.com) and if you think I am scum or stupid for linking to Ezra, you can fuck off and leave me alone - and never, ever, try to make laws for me, or I will fight you with every bone in my body)

I read the Torygraph and generally its abuse is reserved for those in power. I can't recall a leader where it has abused ordinary (ie non-government) people in terms like those listed above, whereas I find them ten a penny in the Indy and Grauniad.

Sex is the new prolefeed.

And though I've written here about fighting - don't bother, really. The Left's victory over the people is complete. Any incoming Tory government will be powerless. They'd need to privatise the BBC and the entire education system to eradicate systematic Leftist bias among all educators on all levels -and, like myself, they do not have the balls.

So just drink.

While you can.

Then call Labour "a bunch of cunts".

Before it becomes a hate crime.
